THE MCLEOD HOUSE BISTRO w/HOOPSTERS

It was a beautiful day for a Citrus County Experience so I decided to go downtown for a cold drink on the

deck of the newly opened McLeod House Bistro and watch the Hoola Hooping class.

Not only does the McLeod House stand as a tribute to the early days of Inverness when it wasn't unusual for a family to raise 12 kids in a 4 room house but it now boasts one of the best dining experiences in the county.

From what I've learned, McLeod House was always a bustle with kids from the neighborhood and that for a period of 8 years their was always a McLeod on the football team. To this day you may see a McLeod dining in his or her family living room as the McLeod House is becoming a favorite for those who appreciate fine dining.

So it's not a surprise to see The McLeod House grounds alive with the latest exercise craze, hula hooping.

Serious hoopster Abbey Albaum http://www.hoolamonsters.com/ can teach you how to "WOW" family and friends by teaching you the art of hoop dancing.

Hand made hoops in various sizes are available to try so that you will have the hoop that is right for you.

Whether you're looking to spice up your fitness routine or just want to have some fun you must stop by the McLeod House Bistro and join in for a hooping experience.

With the many businesses and government offices in the heart of Inverness, The McLeod House has been well attended for the few weeks that it has been open. Chef Michael promises a consistency in good food and good service.

After hooping class you can join Chef Michael on the deck

for his regular Saturday Sangria Delight. Chef Michael has many different Sangria recipes to o

ffer. The variation in recipes depend on the sangria's alcoholic content. A non-alcoholic version of sangria is made from wine grapes, the essence of lemon and cane sugar. It's very light and perfect for a refresher. The heavier red win

es are the dominant ingredient and act as a base in preparing a sangria that allows fruit flavors to blend with the rest of the ingredients. The ice and any last-minute ingredients are added and the drinks are pou

red. You can expect to notice the various fruits such as lemon, orange, apple, peach, ber

ries, pineapple and occasionally melon, grape or mango.

Whether you're looking

to spice up your fitness routine or just want to sit on the deck and enjoy Chef's many Sangria options, the McLeod House Bistro is a great place to begin you Saturday while visiting Citrus County.
