During the peak season, from November to May, mornings are cool (50 degrees) while the days are warm and comfortable (70 degrees). During the summer season the temperature rarely tops 96 degrees with the forest being 15 to 20 degrees cooler.

You can tell that Susanne takes pride in her farm, horses and equipment. She owns the horses and most of them have been with her for many years. She is a certified instructor with over 25 years of experience and she accompanies all riders on the trail. She is a very capable instructor with a long list of international credentials. If you wish to obtain more specific training, either beginner or advanced lessons can

Each one of these horses has its own personality; its own set of likes and dislikes, however, all are well trained and well mannered. You may experience a herd of deer suddenly appearing and running across your path. You'll have to go up and down into steep gullies. Occasionally you may have to cross water. You will have an opportunity to form a relationship with your horse that makes the horse feel safe under your control. Natural horsemanship is practiced at Lady Hawk Farm building trust and respect between horse and rider.
Susanne is a horsewoman. She has lived with horses since she was five years old. She was classically trained in Germany and is teaching the principles of exceptionally qualified and well known trainers. She has successfully participated in many nationally and internationally sanctioned events including jumping and dressage. She has also participated in long distance competitive trail riding events.

Susanne has achieved an understanding of what horses can do and why they do it. She is an experienced trainer of all breeds. Her goal is to educate horses to be willing partners, whether it be jumping, dressage or pleasure riding. Sue operated a large riding and training academy before moving to Florida.
The British Horse Society has certified Susanne as a Level II instructor. She has over twenty years of teaching and training experience. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced rider, you will find Susanne to be a very knowledgeable and perceptive observer. She is an extraordinary teacher with impeccable credentials.
